Super Moon
Tonight at 8:35pm Earthlings will point their faces up to the sky and see a super moon in Scorpio. What does that mean? Well, its going to look really big because it will be closer to the earth. Don't we live on an amazing planet in a mind blowing universe? How did this happen? Where is Einstein when you need him? He knew everything which lead him back to knowing nothing. That is why feeling is so awesome. Feelings are a language of their own. With the moon tonight, I am sure we will all be feeling something! It's been a long time...
The last time I wrote on this blog was over a month ago. Time flies whether you are having fun or not. I have been having fun. Today is new moon in Taurus. People always ask, "what does that mean?"....Well, a new moon is a great time to write down some personal intentions or hopes and wishes. Writing things down get the wheel in motion. Do you know that we have all the time in the world? That's a lot of time. Endless. Never ending. Another good reason to relax and enjoy the ride. Lately I have been seeing many quotes that read, "don't take yourself so seriously"....good one.
Well, today is a spring day that feels like summer. Bright, hot and still.....

Giving and Receiving...
Today I was standing, waiting for customer service at our local big chain "drug" store. Here are the details....My dad still uses film for his camera. He asked me to help him with it. Of course, I did. Helping people who gave you their life is important in my book. Also, watching someone get older is a big wake up call. Listen. You are going to get older too. Hopefully. And, you will be needing help and by God you desire it!
So, there I am waiting. A guy walks up and gets in line. The cashier comes over. I cheerfully let this dude know that I have been waiting for awhile, however, if he needs to go ahead he can. He has a lottery ticket. Wants to know if he's won. I say to him, "Hey. Go ahead. And, if you win, you can give me a cut".....yeah. whatever. Well, indeed, he wins. 51 dollars. and then he splits.
Listen up folks. He needed to give me one dollar. Yup. One dollar. He didn't. He was gone! If he had been wise, he would have given me one dollar. Instead, he will go back to being held back from the flow of the moment.
Its almost St. Patricks Day. My name is Murphy. Listen to the magic. Learn. Win. Risk. Play. Its just a dollar. Man oh man, had he given me one dollar, he would have won even bigger next time. Believe me, there will be a next time. This guy is on a roll.....

Fight or Flight
We have all heard the words, "fight or flight" before....
I live in the same town I grew up in. This means I will be running into people I have issues with, for a long time. Why do I have a problem with them, when someone else doesn't? Well, that's because its about me. Not about the other person. I understand now that everything in my life is a gift, helping me to wake up. If I am triggered, it is truly an opportunity for me. So, I was at an event and saw someone that started my trigger. I could tell she wanted to engage with me. I wasn't up for it. Uninterested. This is where I actually experienced what we call "fight or flight".....I wanted to either run or attack her. Don't worry. This is just a way to describe how I was feeling. I said hello and moved on.
Next time you feel yourself get triggered and start to have the "fight or flight" response, stop and breathe! You are between a rock and a hard place! Relax! Don't get complicated. Simplify. You don't have to do anything you don't want to do. Say hello and then move on.
What a gift our internal emotional system is, if we can understand how it works for us!

Negativity
It happened. At the outdoor market, I turned around and saw a person who used to push my buttons. Used to. This time, I felt absolutely nothing. As if I didn't know her. And, really, I don't. Something happened, as it does in life, and we were no longer friends. I felt used, betrayed and stupid. Time has gone by and my life has changed. As I looked at her, all I saw was a person. Not a trusting friend. A person.
What do we do with negativity? Well, first of all, its necessary. Otherwise, we wouldn't have the opposite, which we call positive. Really, its like science. I understand this a lot better now.
Be thankful for the people and circumstances in your life that make you feel like a piece of crap. Right there is a gift. You are not a piece of crap. No one is. You are just being given information to tune-up your life. They are a gift. Yeah. A blessing in disguise. They teach you where to go and who to see. They teach you what you want and what you need.

This Afternoon
Today has been over-cast. A friend called and we met another friend for tea. I am blessed to have good friends. What is a good friend? Someone who loves and accepts all of you. As we were sitting outside the cafe, another friend showed up and several people we know passed by. The sun came out for a second. Things are constantly changing. Eventually everything moves into something else. Walking to my car I had the urge to cry. I wasn't exactly sad. I was just feeling a lot. While at the cafe, in the middle of conversations with my girlfriends, an older man walked by using a cane. That's us. All that happens in our lives leads to the simple fact of getting older. Life becomes more simple. And, the fact is, life is beautiful. It just is.
Out in the woods...
I just returned from a walk in the woods. It was quiet and healing and walking is my favorite type of exercise. Just walking. Up hill in the woods, walking....Being in nature is like having an air bath! A fresh air bath. No phones, no people, no power lines. Just trees and dirt and birds and rocks. Rain is in the air. I am knowing more and more every day that life is a mystery and most of the things we think we know are not actually based in true reality. What is real is this moment and being present with ourselves is enough...

I really had the best birthday ever. On January 27th 2012 I turned 52 years old. I can honestly say I am feeling better then I ever have. People who love me turned up in all kinds of ways. Birthdays are once a year. We all have one. I believe it is important to celebrate all the way. After all, we were born. And, all the people involved in your life were also born. Ah. Just another thing that ties us together. We were all born....
Celebrate your life! Celebrate all others! Go with the flow!

The rain may finally be coming. All winter it has been sunny. Weird. Maybe mother nature is going to change the seasons. Maybe everything is going to be different. That's 2012. Everything different. New story.
I have been waiting for this time. A new story that each and everyone of us creates.
Mostly life is good. May it be so....
It's a new year
I am craving simpler times. When I would call someone and if they were not at home, I would just call back later.
My boyfriend bought me another year with this blog. I am a blog failure. Have you noticed?
Maybe this year I will figure it out.
Still. I am craving past times. Writing real letters. Talking to people face to face.
I think I am getting older.....
Time to get with the program.
